Pakistan’s industry uses over 40% of the country’s energy and creates more than 18% of its emissions and a lot of that is simply wasted through old, inefficient processes. Textiles alone make up nearly 60% of our exports, and foreign buyers, especially in Europe, now demand cleaner, more efficient production.

This is for you if you build energy-efficient machines, heat-recovery systems, tools that track energy and water use, or ways to cut waste and cost in production.

More than 60% of our irrigation water is lost before it even reaches the crop. And after harvest, 20–40% of fruits and vegetables rot before they’re sold for want of cold storage, proper packaging and transport. Farmers do the work and still lose the reward.

This is for you if you build precision-irrigation tools, or storage, packaging and transport solutions that get produce to market before it spoils. storage, packaging and transport solutions that get produce to market before it spoils.

Heat, drought, salty soil and new pests are making old seed varieties fail more often each season. Better, climate-resilient seeds exist but they reach farmers slowly, held back by weak testing and a small local base of innovators.

This is for you if you work on improved seeds, healthier soil, natural inputs like biochar, or field-testing that helps farmers adapt.

Less than half of Pakistan’s city waste is properly collected, and huge amounts of plastic end up in the Indus and on our streets. The pressure on businesses to switch to cleaner packaging keeps growing.

This is for you if you make packaging that breaks down safely, or build systems that collect, sort and recycle waste instead of dumping it.

For traditional businesses and startups transitioning towards sustainable models through renewable energy, efficient resource use, waste reduction, and circular economy practices.
